Isabella-Awnings - Over half a century of camping experience

The year is 1957 and Søren Odgaard wants to go camping. However, as a demanding quality-conscious Dane, Mr Odgaard cannot find a suitable tent that meets his high standards. Talented as a craftsman, he decided to build his own tent for camping on the beach. Tent material was quickly procured and so the sewing machine in the cellar was started and Mr. Odgaard's first tent was created. After numerous requests from friends and holidaymakers who admired his beautiful tent on the beach, Søren decided to sew more tents, initially mainly for hire. The next step followed when he also produced his tents for sale. This was the foundation of the Isabella tents that are so successful today. Due to the high quality awareness of the founder, Isabella became one of the leading European producers of awnings, accessories and everything related to camping. By the way, the name Isabella comes from the car brand "Isabella Borgward", which built cars in Bremen-Sebaldsbrück from 1954 to 1961. Søren Odgaard was a big fan of the german car brand Isabella Borgward.

  • IsaLite - Lightweight polyester fabric (TenCate) coated on one side, which is not only hard-wearing, but also easy to fold and clean (Fabsil Tent Care Kit). 
  • Tent Base - PVC is a heavy duty 100% waterproof and easy to clean material.
  • Windows - Isabella's window film does not crease easily and is made by Achilles in Japan. It is a high quality film that also absorbs UV rays, some Isabella awnings also use tinted film. The Isabella winter awnings use film that can withstand even the deepest sub-zero temperatures in Scandinavia.  
  • Awning roof - hard-wearing and robust awning polyester (TenCate) that also absorbs UV and protects you from UV radiation in the awning. The roof skin is additionally coated with 3 layers of acrylic. This results in a higher moisture absorption and gives condensation almost no chance. The coating of the material reduces soiling to a minimum. 
  • Inner roof - With a beautiful pattern, a homely feeling is created and minimises the visibility of even bird poo from above!
